Who is PICAD?

PICAD is an acronym for Pick and Drop. We offer personal chauffeurs services to our clients at any time of the day. It is basically driver on demand to work, weddings, running of errands, meetings etc.

How does it work?

PICAD for now runs via bookings. However, before booking for a driver you need to register with us first.

How do I book for a driver?

You can make a booking by calling or sending a sms which will entail your location, destination, duration of time you need the driver for.

How does the rider ensure security?

Our drivers are covered by a professional indemnity insurance scheme. Upon request for a driver, the rider is given a security code which is only known to the driver. Also, the rider must ensure that at the end of the trip he/she obtains the car keys from the driver.

What does the registration process entails?

The registration process spells out our compliance procedures to ensure that the vehicle meets up to the standard road and safety requirements approved by the road safety law in Nigeria.

When can a rider make its request?

All requests must be made within 3 hours of departure.

What do you mean by Compliance requirement?

Our Compliance requirement is broken down into two main parts compliance required from our clients and compliance requirement from our drivers.;

What is the compliance requirement needed from the Client?

All motor documents showing legality of the vehicle as prescribed by the Laws.

What is the compliance requirement needed from the driver?

All necessary licenses showing that the driver is competent enough to drive on Nigerian roads.

Payment Method?

Payment is made to the driver at the end of the trip.

How does PICAD charge for its services?

We have a flat rate and also charge per minute at a very affordable price.

Where can I go with PICAD Driver?

You can go anywhere with our drivers within Lagos.

When does PICAD close for the day?

We do advise our clients to make all bookings within 5am and 6pm daily. We do not advise our clients to journey at night so as to minimize risk. However, for any booking that comes up after 6pm PICAD shall not be liable for any risk.

Are PICAD drivers trained?

Yes our drivers are trained to provide the best quality driving services to our riders. We ensure that our drivers uphold good driving ethics such as no smoking or drinking while driving and answering of telephone calls is strictly prohibited while driving. Our drivers are well trained and sensitive to sounds of the vehicle and provide general advice to the client.

Does PICAD offer any discount for its riders?

Yes we offer a 20% discount on our client’s second ride and also a 20% discount on any referral to friends, family/ colleagues.


The True Story

In 2015, PICAD founder Abigael Giwa-Amu envisioned several situations where ; A hired driver does not need to spend the whole day in the office doing nothing after dropping his boss at work. Car owners can comfortable stay out late at night knowing that there is a safe and reliable driver to call when it’s time to head home. Event planners can comfortable call on reliable drivers to chauffeur their clients around especially during weddings, birthdays and any other activities. A car owner who can’t afford hiring a Driver on a monthly basis can do so on an hourly basis. A car owner can relax in his/her car during long traffic hours without been exhausted even before starting their day or ending their day. A car owner who has a bit of an emergency but no driver to drive around can rely on booking for a driver. A company with several poll cars but limited driver to go on an assignment can easily book for a driver.
